Nimrod is home to some of the greatest volunteers around.  From the kids Easter Egg Hunt in March to the Christmas party for the kids in December.  Nimrod takes care of their own with volunteers and all fundraised money. The baseball team plays every weekend and some night games from May to the end of July.

Throughout the summer months many people from all over the state can be found tubing or canoeing on the Crow Wing River.  Nimrod is a central hub on the river and a great spot to start or stop your trip.  There is always a large float down the river over the July 4th holiday weekend.
